#5OnMyTBR is a bookish meme hosted by E. @ Local Bee Hunter’s Nook and you can learn more about it here. It occurs every Monday when we post about 5 books on our TBR.
This one was a little bit tricky but I did manage to find five books that fit the prompt pretty well! As always, if you have read any of these and want to share your thoughts, or point me towards your reviews, just leave a comment below.
#5OnMyTBR September 25th: Public Transport

Format: Audio Dramatization
Genre: Urban Fantasy
Age: Adult
Transport: London Underground
I read this book years and years ago, and the few times I find myself travelling on the tube it inevitably pops into my head. When I came across this version on Audible, I knew I had to give it a go – I think Gaiman is probably my most frequently listened to on Audible, and it’s usually because there’s dramatizations of his books I’ve read, and I love exploring different versions of things I’ve loved. Plus, that cast looks freaking brilliant.
Whispers Under Ground by Ben Aaronovitch

Format: Paperback
Genre: Urban Fantasy
Age: Adult
Transport: London Underground
Another London and specifically London Underground based Urban Fantasy. This is the third book in the Rivers of London series, a series I really, seriously need to get back into. If you haven’t checked it out yet, it’s really great – I loved the first two books.
Train Bound to Forty by Stephanie Berchiolly

Format: ebook
Genre: Paranormal Romance
Age: Adult
Transport: Train
This book looks fun, the cover is gorgeous, and I’m really excited to see more and more ‘older’ protagonists in these kind of books. Always exciting to read something different and I’m looking forward to diving into this one!
Flying Home for Christmas by Helen Whitaker

Format: ebook
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Age: Adult
Transport: Plane
I love a Christmas romance. I love any sort of Christmas books really, but the romances have an extra special charm and I always get excited to read them as the weather gets that little bit colder. This one looks adorable, with the characters stranded during a snowstorm and forced into a single hotel room together…
The Coach Trip by Izzy Bromley

Format: ebook
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Age: Adult
Transport: Coach
Ah, the good old coach. I don’t think I’ve been on a proper coach trip since I was in school, but I’ve seen plenty of them stopping off at services and of course I have travelled on coach since. This one sounds really fun and definitely feels like it’s going to cover a lot of ground!
What sort of public transport related books are on your TBR? Fictional adventures that travel across countries, or maybe non-fiction books about public transport itself?
