Yes, it is that time of the year once again. It’s rolled around quick, hasn’t it? We are now officially into Blogmas, celebrating Christmas and the winter holidays and the New Year and all that fun stuff. With the weather outside being frightful, and the fire so delightful, this is such a good time of year to settle in and spend the evenings with a hot drink and a good book.
On the blog this month, much like Blogtober I’ll be doing my usual posts, and where it’s relevant they’ll be marked Blogmas, and where they’re not so winter/holiday themed, they’ll be just the normal posts. I’ll also be trying to watch a few Christmas related shows and films this month, so keep an eye out for posts about them, too.
And if you’re looking for bookish gifts this season, there’s two I particularly want to shout out, both on Etsy and both based in the UK.
Firstly, from TheMagicLibraryUK – Blind Date With a Book. I got this as a bit of a treat for myself, and I was so pleased with what arrived! I think I squealed when I saw the book itself, absolutely perfect for me, and I’m looking forward to digging in with that one.
I also received a lovely box from PageTurnersParadise as birthday gift from my partner, and I was again really impressed with the box. This was an absolute joy to open and see all the goodies inside!
Honestly, Etsy is such a great site for gifts, I find myself using it quite regularly. And this year especially, I’ll be doing as much of my Christmas shopping in more independent places than I normally do. I already have a few shops mentally marked out to pick up some things, and I’m looking forward to really digging in.
I also have plenty of Christmas books to get through this year, and I’ll be trying to get as many reviews posted before the Big Day, though keep an eye out after too as I might have more suggestions for next year! Right now, I’m just hoping I can keep the blog completely up to date throughout the month, and get everything all set up and scheduled through to the 31st, so I can take a bit of a break of Christmas. But we’ll see.
