#5OnMyTBR is a bookish meme hosted by E. @ Local Bee Hunter’s Nook and you can learn more about it here. It occurs every Monday when we post about 5 books on our TBR.
The hardest part about this was finding books that started with ‘t’ but not ‘the’. I excluded them, because otherwise the whole list would be “The…”. Anyway, I did manage to find a small amount anyway, including a couple on my reading challenges which means I should get to them sooner rather than later.
#5OnMyTBR June 10th: Title Starting With ‘T’
Tell Me I’m Worthless by Alison Rumfitt

Genre: Horror
Age: Adult
Format: Paperback
Published: October 28th, 2021
Why I Want to Read: I was hoping to get to this one in time for a review during Pride Month over at Divination Hollow – it might still happen, but we’ll see. Either way, I love haunted house stories, and I love when writers use them to do something different. This one comes highly recommended from a friend who I completely trust with his suggestions, so I have no doubt this will be one hell of a read.
To Stop a Scoundrel by Abigail Bridges

Genre: Historical Romance
Age: Adult
Format: ebook
Published: September 2nd, 2021
Why I Want to Read: I really like historical romance. Romance writers are great, too, as they often do a lot of deals and discounts to get their books into the hands of readers, and I have quite a lot of these type of books on my Kindle! What makes me extra excited though is how many of these are the start of a series, so if I really like it, there’s more! This one sounds particularly enticing, pitting a woman determined to protect others from scoundrels against, well, a scoundrel. I’m expecting plenty of sparks.

Genre: Fantasy
Age: Adult
Format: ebook
Published: September 12th, 2023
Why I Want to Read: This book just sounds really intriguing. I love covers like this too, which nod pretty nicely to older book covers while doing things a little different. It’s great to see a fantasy novel, too, that is (as far as I’m aware) a standalone, rather than part of a longer series.

Genre: Fantasy – Horror
Age: Adult
Format: ebook

Why I Want to Read: T. Kingfisher quickly became one of those authors I will read anything by. After Nettle & Bone and A House with Good Bones, I know she writes the exact kind of horror and fantasy I really, really like. So this one was a must-read as soon as I saw it.
Three Holidays and a Wedding by Uzma Jalaluddin and Marissa Stapley

Genre: Contemporary Romance
Age: Adult
Format: ebook
Published: September 23rd, 2023
Why I Want to Read: For starters, it looks super cute. Secondly, I really like reading holiday focused fiction leading up to the festive season, but I need to make a bigger effort this year to get away from Christmas-focused stuff and read more around other winter holidays. This feels like it’s going to be a wonderful blend.
As always, if you’ve read any of these I’d love to hear what your thoughts were. Think I should bump it up the TBR? Or have a review to share? Just let me know!
