I love vampires. And I always get excited about vampire shows appearing on our screens. I’ve watched quite a few over the years (and please feel free to throw all your vampire recommendations at me!) but these are some of the more recent ones I’ve really, really loved.
Midnight Mass
This show is small town, religious horror at its best. The show takes place on a small island, where a community finds itself battling against something sinister. To me, this and the two The Haunting Of shows make for a brilliant trio of horror TV.
First Kill
I will never not be upset over this show’s premature cancellation. This is an excellent, sapphic paranormal romance series, and deserved as much love and as many series as shows like The Vampire Diaries (which I also loved!). Still, even if we don’t get the full story, the first series on its own is still worth watching.
What We Do in the Shadows
If you somehow haven’t yet caught this mockumentry, stop everything you’re doing and go catch up! This show is incredible – funny and heartfelt, and who doesn’t love a found family made up of vampires and their human familiar.
Interview with the Vampire
Ah, Interview with the Vampire. Season 2 was handled so brilliantly; well, both seasons were, but I’m so excited for what comes next. Every moment of this has been excellent, and I feel like they did a great job of adapting the book!
