As you might be aware – or have noticed – I went on hiatus throughout February. This was just a chance for me to rest up a bit, catch up on blog stuff and start scheduling stuff for way in advance, to give myself that bit more breathing space.
And so far, as I write this, I think it’s going well! I’m hopeful that by the time it gets to the end of February, I’ll have most of March scheduled, and I won’t be constantly chasing my tail with the blog. We’ll see though, and I’ve definitely made those kind of plans before only for it to fall apart!
For today, I just want to take a second to acknowledge I have been bloody awful at keeping up with comments. I have had some absolutely lovely folks take the time to read and comment on my posts, and they have been sitting untouched in my notifications. I was spending so much time on just trying to catch up with posts, I neglected them.
Well, one of the first things I did during the hiatus was clear out pending comments and reply to a few, and I’m making a promise that, going forward, I will do my very best to keep up on comments. I really do appreciate them, and when I was checking through them they had me smiling so much!
It’s not just comments – I fell behind in rating books on Storygraph, too, but that was much of a quick fix, and something I need to remember to do when I do my weekly review updates (posting to Goodreads, NetGalley, etc). But yes, I have clawed back on top of things, am hoping things go well and I can stay on top, and I will making much more of an effort to do at least a weekly check of comments, so if you posted previously and didn’t get a response (or…recently had a response on a months old comment!), thank you so much, apologies for the delay, and please keep commenting!
