Over on Divination Hollow, the website I run with my wonderful co-admin Ellen, we currently have two open calls running until 3rd January, 2021. As the above graphic indicates, we’re looking for articles, essays, reviews, and more, max 3K words. For both calls, we’re looking to run these features in February 2021, for Women in Horror Month and Black History Month.
We are prioritising OwnVoices content, but we’re happy to look at others, too. We’ve seen great success with our previous WIHM content for 2020, and our Pride in Horror content in June. For both Ellen and myself, diversity is important, and we’re keen to champion voices typically underrepresented across genre fiction.
We’re not just looking for people to talk about Horror, either. We’re expanding Divination Hollow to cover all sorts of dark fiction and horror-adjacent genres, including (but not limited to) Sci-Fi, Dark Fantasy, Urban Fantasy, and Paranormal Romance.
So if you have a particular author or series you’d like to spotlight, certain books you’d like to review, or have anything else to say on these subjects – even something about why you love certain genres or the impact they’ve had on your life – please do get in touch. Full details can be found here including how to contact me if you have questions or want to pitch something.
We can’t wait to hear from you.
