Top Ten Tuesday: Summer Book Covers

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

I love this one, and it’s going to be so much fun looking through these book covers! This was submitted by Ellie @ Curiosity Killed the Bookworm and what a great idea for July!

Book Covers That Feel Like Summer

When I think of summer, I think of reds and oranges and yellows – colours that convey heat and warmth.

From my read books –

Reviews of The Meeting Point / The Black Kids

Reviews of You Should See Me In A Crown / Circe

And some books from my NetGalley TBR –

Both of these are outside what I normally read, and I’m definitely looking forward to them!

There’s something about these covers that makes me feel the books would be great to read sitting in the sun with an ice cold drink, and I can’t fully explain why!

So there we have it – ten book covers that feel like summer, for various reasons. Some are because the covers radiate heat, others have a more cool feel to them, but a few feel like they’re indicating the summer period in the book itself, whether as a backdrop or key element. What book covers feel like summer to you?
