August 19th: Unhauling Books
Prompts: How do you feel about unhauling books? Do you get rid of books often? Or do you hold on to every book you buy? How do you decide which books to get rid of? Are there any books you would never get rid of?
This is actually something I need to get better at. There are currently too many books in this house (blasphemy, I know!) because I’m never quite sure what to do with them! A load have previously been given to a family friend for charity shop’s, but there are quite a few I need to get rid of. I too often hold onto books, because sometimes I think I’m going to read it again or I have someone in mind who might enjoy it, but usually they still end up sticking around without me picking them up again!
There are some books I wouldn’t get rid of – if I truly loved a book, I’ll keep it just in case, as some day I might need the comfort from it, or I might find it’s the perfect book to give to a friend.
