Yes more horror goodness, specifically the 2022 Goodreads Most Popular Horror List which I am making my way through to see which ones I’ve read, want to read, haven’t heard of etc. There’s been some really interesting titles so far, and a fair few I hadn’t heard of. So I’m looking forward to seeing what the next five titles on the list are.

What the Hell Did I Just Read
by David Wong

To read this I need to read the first two books in the series – and as someone who used to love Cracked and reading David Wong’s articles, I do want to read John Dies at the End. So though I’m not in a rush to pick this one up, hopefully I’ll get to it one day.
The Luminous Dead
by Caitlin Starling

I absolutely, definitely want to read this one, especially after how much I thoroughly enjoyed Starling’s The Dead of Jane Lawrence. So yes, this one sits firmly on the want to read shelf.

This sounds quite intriguing – surprised I haven’t heard of this one, but I’m always keen to read more gothic titles, especially if they’re done well. I think I’ll have to give this one a go.
Dead Silence

Yeah, this is one I’ve been eyeing for a while and definitely want to get my hands on at some point. There’s something about a ghost ship in space that really catches my attention.

Intriguing cover, interesting blub – normally this would make it immediately to the want to read pile, but I currently have The Echo Wife to read, and whether or not I pick up this one will depend on my experience with that one.
Honestly this list is full of books I haven’t read, and a large number I’m now definitely interested in. I think it’s partly because a lot of this list is from before I really dug in more with horror and kept myself up to date on (newer) releases, and it crosses over with a time when I was largely reading more indie horror. But definitely looking forward to seeing what books pop up next on this list!
