Yes I am doing another post where I try to reduce my TBR. These are going really well, and I want to try and get through as many of the why-are-there-so-many-books-here-past-Elle ‘want to read’ shelf as I possibly can. It’s helping me remember some great series, too, where I’ve picked up the first book and not continued. Need to try and rectify that!

I really liked the first book in the Shadow Police series, and kept meaning to pick this one up. At the time I read London Falling, I hadn’t read or heard of many Urban Fantasy series set in London or in the UK as a whole, so this felt kind of refreshing. Definitely a series I want to complete!

Genre: Paranormal Romance

This cover – or any of the other covers – don’t give me great hope, and neither does the general premise. It just sounds like so many other similar type books, and I don’t see anything here that completely grabs me and makes me want to read it.

I read the first book of the series and liked it well enough I had intentions of reading the second, but honestly, it’s been so long since I read the first I can’t really remember too much of it, and would need to reread it before diving into any sequel. I think if I end up rereading book 1, I’ll go back to this series, but for the time being, it’s not one I’m keen on continuing.

Anthology

I’ve wanted to read this since it came out, and that hasn’t changed. I also want to read more Doctor Who books in general, but similarly to the Star Wars books, it’s kind of hard to know where to start. I do think this anthology still looks like a good option though.

Similar to Blood Claim above, nothing about this particularly grabs me anymore. I can definitely see why it did initially, and why I wanted to read it at the time, but looking back, yeah, there’s plenty of kind-of-similar books and series I already want to read, way ahead of this one.

Not too bad for today, with 3 more books gone. Hopefully next time I can get rid of 2 or more. As always, if you have read any of these, I’d love to hear your thoughts, and whether you agree or disagree with the choices made.
