Let’s Talk Bookish is a weekly meme that was originally created and hosted by Rukky @ Eternity Books starting in August 2019, and was then cohosted with Dani @ Literary Lion from May 2020 to March 2022. Book Nook Bits has hosted since April 2022.
Let’s Talk Bookish turns 5! That’s exciting, and definitely deserves celebrating. Five years of participation and discussions. Though I’ve only taken part in more recent times, it’s definitely something I love doing, and I always look forward to writing these posts and seeing what the next topic is. Here’s to more years of Let’s Talk Bookish!
Let’s Talk Bookish August 30th:
Favorite Topic Freebie!
Celebrating 5 years of Let’s Talk Bookish
Prompts: It’s the fifth Friday of August and this month, Let’s Talk Bookish turns 5! How long have you been participating in LTB? What was the first LTB topic you wrote a post for? Have your opinions changed since then? How did you first hear about LTB? If you have a favorite LTB topic from the last few years, go ahead and write about that!
I’ve actually been taking part in Let’s Talk Bookish for longer than I realised – my first LTB post was in August 2022, not long after it moved to Book Nook Bits. That post was about Reviewing Books. I don’t think my views on this have changed massively since I first wrote that, although now I do vary my reading a little more and since then, I have become much better – or worse, depending on how you look at it – at DNF’ing a book, though I stand by my comments about sometimes a book feeling like it has wasted potential.
I can’t quite remember how I did hear about LTB – I think it was one of those things I saw floating around and noticed others taking part in, and kind of found myself looking over Book Nook Bits and the different topics, and thinking it seemed like fun to give it a go. And it is fun, hence why almost exactly two years later I’m still taking part.
I’m not sure about favourite topics – I tend to really enjoy the majority of topics that come up for Let’s Talk Bookish, and I like how it gives me that room to touch on topics I have thoughts about, or makes me think about areas I maybe wouldn’t normally, but still have something to say.
Do you take part in Let’s Talk Bookish? How long have you been doing it for? I’d love to hear your thoughts on this, too.

Ersonally I enjoy the in-depth topics more than yet another rainy day, Spring, Summer etc books. We have Top Ten Tuesday for that in my opinion. Hence why I did 5 days of LTB topics this week. I didn’t realise we had prompts for today LOL.

Yeah I completely get that. Sometimes I like doing the ‘lighter’ ones but it’s definitely fun to dig in on the more in-depth ones
