Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
It’s summer already? This year is going way too fast! What sort of books are on your TBR? Are you a seasonal reader, maybe a mood reader, or just a see-what-catches-my-fancy kind of reader? For me, my focus is on my Reading Challenges, and I feel like I’ve been making good progress with them. So let’s see what I’ve got coming up over the summer!
Summer TBR
Daisy Jones and the Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid / Hazel Hill Is Gonna Win This One by Maggie Horne
(Musicals Reading Challenge 2025)
Daisy Jones is a physical, and Hazel Hill is an ebook – I feel very confident about getting to these two in the coming months, and they both feel like good summer reads. I’ve been wanting to read Daisy Jones for a fairly long time now, and Hazel Hill just looks cute as hell, so I’m very excited.

The Stars Too Fondly by Emily Hamilton / Blob by Maggie Su
(2025 TV Shows Reading Challenge)
These are both ebooks, and I’m especially excited to be reading The Stars Too Fondly soon! A sapphic space odyssey rom-com sounds ideal for summer. I love the cover too. Blob is a very different kind of book, but sounds incredibly intriguing and weird and I’m eager to dive in.

The Early Life of Walt Disney by Andrew Stanley Kiste / ADHD Unpacked by James Brown, Alex Conner
(Be Curious – Non-Fiction Challenge 2025)
More ebooks. I’m excited for the Walt Disney biography – I’ve always been a Disney fan (I know, I know), and I find learning about Walt’s early life interesting, as it often gives some insight into larger aspects of Disney, from the films to the parks. As for ADHD Unpacked, well, I think that’s going to be incredibly enlightening.

Match Me If You Can by Swati Hegde / The Mercury in Me by Rachael Fernandes
(Romance Readers Diversity Challenge 2025)
I’m not completely sure if I’ll get to both these ebooks, but I’ll definitely try! They both look super cute, and I’m really excited to read them. If I don’t get to them within the next couple of months, it definitely won’t be too long after when I do read them.

The Forest of Stars by Heather Kassner / Darth Maul: Shadow Hunter by Michael Reaves
(2025 SFF Title Challenge)
I’ve read some really fun books through this challenge, though it’s sometimes been pretty difficult to identify a book with the right title! I am looking forward to these two, though I don’t totally know what to expect with either. The Forest of Stars looks intriguing, and Darth Maul was one of the Star Wars books my partner picked out for me at the start of the year, so he’s very excited for me to finally get to them.

So, there we have it – ten of the books on my TBR over summer, though I don’t think I’ll get through them all as it’s quite ebook heavy. Looking at my Spring TBR post though, I did manage to read 8 of these, and the reason it wasn’t ten was because I swapped one of them out for another book, and I’m reading the last one now, which I think is really good going for me!
