Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
We are hitting autumn and I can definitely feel it – the air is colder, the heating is on, and the thicker, comfier clothes have come out of the drawers, while my summer dresses are put away until the weather gets warm again. Which could be next week for all we know. And with the changing of the seasons comes a new TBR!
I actually managed to read almost all the books on my Summer TBR, which makes me very happy. Let’s hope I have the same success with my autumn TBR!
This post is running somewhat late, but that’s due to, well, I’ve had a lot on recently! Hoping to catch up with things soon.
Autumn/Fall TBR
Tell Me I’m Worthless by Alison Rumfitt / Love at First Psych by Cara Bastone
(Musicals Reading Challenge 2025)
One paperback and one audiobook – I almost read Tell Me I’m Worthless recently, but the way the challenges worked out meant I picked up A Hunger Like No Other instead. Both have been on my TBR for about the same amount of time. I’m really excited for Tell Me and Love at First Psych, especially as the latter has Santino Fontana as a narrator.

The Wedding Witch by Erin Sterling
(2025 TV Shows Reading Challenge)
This is the last book on this challenge (except the two I’m currently reading). I’m really looking forward to this, especially after how much I enjoyed the first two books in the series. Hopefully there’ll be more to come in the series, too.

Alien Earths by Lisa Kaltenegger / Bookish: How Reading Shapes Our Lives by Lucy Mangan
(Be Curious – Non-Fiction Challenge 2025)
I picked up this challenge because I wasn’t reading nearly as much non-fiction as I would like. I’ve really enjoyed it, and I definitely feel like I’ve been learning a lot, but it’s one I’m thinking of putting aside for next year. Still, I’m very much looking forward to these two books, and Alien Earths is absolutely not my normal kind of read, so I’m intrigued by what my feelings towards it will be.

The Mercury in Me by Rachael Fernandes / Wish You Were Her by Elle McNicoll
(Romance Readers Diversity Challenge 2025)
The Mercury in Me is one I’d hoped to get to sooner, but haven’t quite got to it yet, so hopefully soon! And Wish You Were Her looks really interesting – noted as Book Lovers meets Notting Hill with a slice of You’ve Got Mail, so I’m very keen on reading it!

Star Wars: The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire by Chris Kempshall / Sorcery and Small Magics by Maiga Doocy
(2025 SFF Title Challenge)
Firstly, I love the idea of a history book (of sorts) in a fictional world. I got this for my partner after seeing it everywhere on social media, and being impressed with the snippets shared, so I’m excited to finally read it. Sorcery and Small Magics is very different – a queer fantasy romance about a sorcerer and his rival. Can’t wait!

Her Rival Dragon Mate by Arizona Tape
(Musicals Reading Challenge 2025)
Switching back to my Musicals challenge – I’m so, so excited to dig into this sapphic fantasy romance featuring dragon shifters who are also lawyers. I love the cover, too, especially the colours on it.

So, that’s my TBR for autumn – hopefully I can get through most of these by the end of October (gulp!), otherwise I might be pushing it a bit late for my reading challenges. We’ll see. I do have a week off next week, so fingers crossed I manage to work through a couple of books then!
