Topic: Elle!

Sometimes I just like to take the time to talk a bit more about me, in general, and what I do, and it’s useful when there are new followers to just let them know what other projects I have on the go!

Firstly, as well as being a writer myself, I also do freelance editing. You can find out more about that at my website. Through this, I have worked with a variety of different authors, on different types of works – both YA and Adult, short stories, novellas and novels, and across genres! Most recently, S.H. Cooper’s short story collection, All That’s Fair was nominated for a Ladies of Horror Fiction Award, and her latest release, Inheriting Her Ghosts, has received excellent reviews.

So if you are a writer, and need something looked at, please feel free to get in touch using the details on that site!

I also co-run Divination Hollow with my co-admin Ellen. This is a website dedicated to horror and dark fiction, where we especially like to promote diversity in the genres. Have a look, and if you have a book coming out or want to write a guest post for us the details are on the site.

And right now, thanks to the previously mentioned S.H. Cooper, I’m co-editing an anthology with her and the fantastic Olivia White. The anthology is called “A Woman Built By Man”, with the theme being essentially…that. Submissions are currently open, and you can find out more details on the Cemetery Gates website.

I’m also a panelist for the fantastic Book Blogger’s Novel of the Year Award, for the second year in a row! It has been a lot of fun to do, originally during the first lockdown last year, and now while I’m between jobs.

So there we have a little bit about what I’m up to at the moment. If you don’t follow me on Twitter, you may not be aware I was made redundant last month too. I’m still job searching, but what it means is my editing is more valuable to me than ever, so if you are looking for an editor or know someone who is, please pass on my details!

I’ll do another one of these probably in a few months, so we’ll see what I’m up to then!
