This has very quickly become a must-read series for me, and with Volume 2 I am completely and utterly hooked. Drawn back into the worlds of gods, Laura searches for the truth behind a conspiracy, and we learn what extent some will go to for just a piece of divine power.

I loved seeing more of the celebrity aspect of the gods, revealing just how far their stardom stretches. Laura returns to a convention with many more guests than she’s seen there in previous years, and there’s surprises in store for many of these characters.

The artwork is fantastic, and the way it flows from page to page is just absolutely beautiful. Yeah, some parts feel a little confusing, but weirdly, at the same time kind of make sense in the context of this world. Laura searches for the real reasons behind Luci’s death, and finds herself in a bit of a mess by the end of this.

And…yeah, the ending is the kind that leaves you reeling, and wondering where the hell things go from here. It’s really hard to say more about this volume without giving too much away, but it’s full of shock moments and comes together really well.

Excellent, brilliant work from the team behind The Wicked + The Divine, and I really hope I can read Volume 3 soon.
