Book Blogger Hop: January 13th – 19th

The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Jennifer @ Crazy-For-Books in March 2010 and ended on December 31, 2012. With Jennifer’s permission, it was relaunched on February 15, 2013 by Billy @ Ramblings of a Coffee Addict. Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end the following Thursday. There will be a weekly prompt featuring a book related question. The hop’s purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to your own blog.

Are there any new books you’re excited to read in 2023?
(submitted by Billy @ Coffee Addicted Writer)

There are quite a few books I’m excited to read this year, and not just books releasing this year. I’m hoping to try and clear some of my backlog books, and am working through some Reading Challenges, which should be interesting as it’s the first year I’ve properly attempted that. I’m also not going to be so rigid with what I read and when, and instead if I just fancy a particular book on my Kindle, I’m going to read that rather than just focusing on upcoming releases or challenge books.

Some of the new release books I’m looking forward to reading though are The Mysterious Case of the Alperton Angels, Strong Female Character, and Searching for Juliet. I also outlined some of the releases I’m looking forward to on my Top Ten Tuesday post for this week.

I feel like there are always books I am excited to read, though whether I feel the same excitement towards a particular book when I finish my current one or am drawn to something different is always up in the air. But we’ll see. It It does look like there’s some interesting trends happening and carrying over from last year, especially around vampires and Dracula, and that is, without a doubt, something I am really excited for.

What about you – what books are you looking forward to reading this year?
