The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Jennifer @ Crazy-For-Books in March 2010 and ended on December 31, 2012. With Jennifer’s permission, it was relaunched on February 15, 2013 by Billy @ Ramblings of a Coffee Addict. Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end the following Thursday. There will be a weekly prompt featuring a book related question. The hop’s purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to your own blog.
Do you post every day on your blog and/or social media?
(submitted by Elizabeth @ Silver’s Reviews)
I try to post as often as I can but I find I often struggle. Something I am trying to do a bit more is schedule social media posts, but right now I currently have this blog, I run Divination Hollow, and I host & produce Esbat: A Bookish Podcast. It’s a lot! At one point I was managing to post every day on here, but I’ve dropped back from that a little and don’t push myself to post every day, unless there’s a specific reason I’m doing so.
I’ve tried different forms of social media and really do struggle with them. I feel most comfortable with Twitter, but even then I’m more retweeting and maybe replying to people rather than posting my own stuff. Maybe I should change that a little, though all of my blog posts do have a pre-scheduled tweet. It’s something I’m trying to get the hang of more with DHR, too, as that doesn’t have the same sort of function as this blog where you can schedule a tweet the same time as the post itself.
So yeah, sometimes I might manage to post every day for a short period, but I have my own routine with posts and what I post each day, and sometimes I just can’t stick to it – like the fact I haven’t actually done Book Blogger Hop for a while, and made the decision to do these when I feel more able to engage with the question itself.
What about you – do you post on your blog or social media every day? Do you using schedulers to make sure there’s always something going up?
