I don’t think I’ll manage 4 books going again for a while, but we’ll see. I’m finding it really interesting seeing what books I was interested in reading all those years ago, but never actually got around to. Hopefully I can actually read some of the earlier ones on the list at some point, and clear them off that way!

152. Three-Ten to Yuma and Other Stories
Elmore Leonard

Genre: Historical – Western
Published: March 1st, 1953
Unless I’m forgetting something, I don’t think I’ve ever read something from Elmore Leonard. It might be why this book is here, as maybe I was considering trying this author out all the way back in December 2013. I think I do still want to give his work a go, but maybe with some caution, considering the genre isn’t one I normally read, and the book itself is fairly old by this point.

153. Voyage of the Dead
David P. Forsyth

Genre: Horror
Published: January 15th, 2012
That blurb really gives me nothing? Is the ship overrun with zombies? Who are the characters? Where’s the tension except for ‘zombies’? There’s nothing here to grab me because it doesn’t give me anything to be grabbed by.

154. History is Dead
Edited by Kim Paffenroth

Genre: Horror
Published: December 1st, 2007
This one sounds like it might actually be pretty interesting – zombies again, yes, but it’s an anthology with a bunch of names I don’t recognise, and with an interesting premise behind it, taking on what looks to be more of a historical fiction approach to zombies. Yes, please!

155. Every Sigh, the End
Jason S. Hornsby

Genre: Horror
Published: January 1st, 2006
Interesting premise, poor cover, and apparently this guy’s writing is angry, nihilistic and sad. That’ll be some people’s cup of tea, and I think I could read something angry/nihilistic/sad from an author I’m familiar with, but the more I read of the blurb the less keen I am on this one.

156. We’re in Trouble
Christopher Coake

Genre: Suspense
Published: January 1st, 2005
I feel like ‘suspense’ as a term dropped out of fashion? They tend to be more ‘thriller’ now, but this doesn’t sound like a collection of thriller stories, either. I’m a little bit torn on this one – it sounds like it could be a really intriguing and memorable collection. Hmm.

2 out of 5 gone isn’t too bad – not as good as last time, but still managing to get the want to read down bit by bit. As always, if you’ve read any of these, have them on your TBR, agree or disagree with my choices, I’d love to hear from you!
