Blogtober Day 15: 100 New Horror Recommendations Part Three

If you missed the first two parts, I’m going through Goodreads’ 100 New Horror Recommendations for (Nearly) Every Kind of Reader, taking a look at the books they suggest for readers and seeing which ones I’ve read, want to read, and are new to me, possibly becoming a new want to read book.

Part 1 / Part 2

Goodreads 100 New Horror Recommendations
For (Nearly) Every Kind of Reader

“Jelly donut skin” sure sounds like body horror to me

This is a really interesting area – as expanded on in the tagline, the search for ‘beauty’ can take people to the extremes. The tagline, for those interested, is: Extreme beauty regimens that are literally to die for. Really intriguing that we’re seeing more of this kind of thing in horror, too.

What a title, and what a striking cover! Okay, I would like to read this at some point, however, I think I want to read Bunny first, then come to this after. So, yes, somewhere down the line, but just not right now.

This one sounds pretty unique, and I’m grabbed. I really want to read this – am surprised I hadn’t come across it before! But now I have, I definitely want to read this.

Transmuted

I am so glad to see Transmuted on a list like this – the book definitely deserves it! Eve Harms is such a good writer. And yes, finally we hit a book I actually have read. And as you can likely tell, I really enjoyed it.

Normally, I’d maybe be a little intrigued by a book like this, but something about this one puts me off. I won’t be reading this anytime soon.

What do you think? Do let me know if you’ve read any of these. Do you want to read any? I’m really enjoying going through these sort of lists, and it helps highlight stuff I’ve missed! Next up: vampires!
