Blogtober Day 27: 100 New Horror Recommendations Part Six

I am back with more recent horror goodness, seeing which books on the Goodreads’ 100 New Horror Recommendations for (Nearly) Every Kind of Reader I’ve read and haven’t read. We’re sticking with haunted houses for this one, and at a quick glance, I don’t think I recognise any of these, so it’ll likely be more books added to the TBR!

Oh, so this one totally passed me by. It definitely sounds like something I want to read though. And I’m totally intrigued by horror novels set around weddings – I feel like there isn’t a whole lot out there? (Please feel free to correct me!) This is going on my want to read.

The Spite House
Johnny Compton

Gothic thriller dealing with grief about a man on the run from a mysterious past with his two daughters…sign me up! How did I miss this one? Definitely need to read!

The Stranger Upstairs
Lisa M. Matlin

Firstly, that cover really stands out, doesn’t it? All these covers are great, to be fair. This is another gothic, but focused on a social media influencer who buys a fixer-upper thinking it’ll help her reach a new audience. I’m hooked already.

Her Little Flowers
Shannon Morgan

The title grabs me, the cover grabs me, and as if that wasn’t enough, that blurb makes this sound incredibly interesting. I love the ideas here and really want to check this one out!

As always if you have read any of these, I’d love to hear what you thought! And if you have other haunted house (other locations welcome) recommendations, please do let me know!
