I’m pretty convinced at this point this series will go on forever. I keep trying to keep an eye out for the books that are at the top of my Want to Read, but I’m not making much headway there. Still, on we go, to see which books I still want to read and which no longer catch my interest. And for anyone interested…we’re still in December 2013 here! When I apparently added quite a lot of books to my TBR – must have been feeling very hopeful I’d get to read some of them!

164. The Cypress House
Michael Koryta

Genre: Horror

I’m unsure enough about this one that I don’t think I’d really seek it out – it sounds okay, but there’s so much other horror out there I really want to read and haven’t got to yet, this just doesn’t grab me enough to make it worth keeping it on the shelf.

165. Minion
L.A Banks

Genre: Paranormal – Horror

This sounds fun – and enough like early Anita Blake that I think I could actually really enjoy this.

166. Hôtel Transylvania
Chelsea Quinn Yarbo

Genre: Paranormal – Historical – Horror

More vampires – well, at least I moved on from zombies. And you know what…yeah, I want to check this out. As I’ve said many times, I’m a sucker for a vampire.

167. Dark Harvest
Normal Partridge

This one sounds okay, but at just okay I don’t think I’d be looking to get it anytime soon. It doesn’t really grab me with the blurb, and I did promise myself I’d be ruthless with these choices.

168. The Summer I Died
Ryan C. Thomas

Genre: Horror

This might be a little unfair, but I’m left feeling very unimpressed by the cover and the way the blurb is worded. Other editions might be better – and likely are – but first impressions are everything, after all. And, again, I’m trying to be brutal here.

If you’ve read any of these I’d love to hear what your thoughts were on them, and definitely let me know whether you agree or disagree with my choices, or if any of these books feature on your own TBRs.
