Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
I really like doing these To-Read posts, and I’m so glad to have returned to TTT just in time for the next one! I like looking back at my last one and seeing how I did, and I’m glad to say I actually did manage to read all of the books on my Autumn To-Read list! Let’s hope I’m as successful with this one, though quite a lot of the books today are physical copies, so it’s unlikely I’ll read every one before the summer list.
Spring TBR
Duma Key by Stephen King / You’re Not Supposed to Die Tonight by Kalynn Bayron
(The Divination Hollow Reviews Horror Challenge 2026)
These are both physical books – Duma Key because I struggled to find a different book for this prompt (disabled protagonist – I do have lots of books with disabled protagonists, but little horror, so any recommendations would be excellent!) and You’re Not Supposed to Die Tonight because it’s been on the top of my Want to Read for a while, and I really do love Bayron’s work.

London: The Biography by Peter Ackroyd / Ahsoka by E.K. Johnston
(Musicals Reading Challenge 2026)
Two more physical books, but I’m pretty sure both of these (or Ahsoka, at least) were on challenges for last year, and I never actually got to them. They are at the top of this challenge at the moment, so hopefully will get at least one of them read before summer.

Tell Me I’m Worthless by Alison Rumfitt / Oxford Blood by Rachael Davis-Featherstone
(Twenty Genres in 2026)
Tell Me I’m Worthless is another physical book, and one I was really hoping to read last year! I’m glad I found a spot for it on my 2026 challenges, and I’m really hopeful I’ll finally get to it. Oxford Blood is an ebook, and I’ve used it for the Thriller prompt on this challenge.

House of Idyll by Delilah S. Dawson / The Science of Monsters by Meg Hafdahl & Kelly Florence
(Grim Readers 2026 Horror Reading Challenge)
I’m not sure it was the smartest of ideas to do two horror challenges this year, but I didn’t read much horror last year and kind of wanted to hit it hard for 2026. It does mean I’m reviewing more on DHR than this blog at the moment, but ah well. I’m looking forward to both of these – House of Idyll is an ebook, but Science of Monsters is a paperback. I have read The Science of Women in Horror in the same series, so I’m keen to finally get to this one.

All the Hearts You Eat by Hailey Piper / The Making of Horror Movies by Jennifer Selway
(The Divination Hollow Reviews Horror Challenge 2026 / Musicals Reading Challenge 2026)
More horror! I’m really excited for All the Hearts You Eat – I’ve read some of Hailey Piper’s short stories and enjoy them, but not yet a full novel, so this will be my first. I’m looking forward to The Making of Horror Movies too, but I’m hoping by the time I get through these I’m not then feeling a touch burnt out on horror, fiction or non-fiction. We’ll see how it goes.

I’m curious how the next few months will play out – typically, I read ebooks much faster than physical, largely due to the ease of just being able to pick up my kindle whenever and read for a bit, so I really doubt I’ll get through all of these during spring, but we’ll see. As always, if you’ve read any of these and would like to share your thoughts, feel free to drop a link to your review in the comments.
