The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Jennifer @ Crazy-For-Books in March 2010 and ended on December 31, 2012. With Jennifer’s permission, it was relaunched on February 15, 2013 by Billy @ Ramblings of a Coffee Addict. Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end the following Thursday. There will be a weekly prompt featuring a book related question. The hop’s purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to your own blog.

I do! If I read a book or even short story that I particularly like, I will follow the author on Twitter. I’ll occasionally check to see if they have an email newsletter, too, as I find that to be an incredibly handy way of keeping up with writers, new releases, and deals for indie authors. It can also be an excellent way to access arcs, again mainly for indie authors, as they will Tweet or email when they’re looking for arc readers. Really, if you have indie authors you love I would definitely suggest checking out if they have a newsletter, and if you’re an author yourself, it’s a great way for fans of your work to keep connected to you.
