I’m diving back into the most popular horror list – something that’s drawn me back so quickly is how few of the last ones I’d actually heard of! Even if I can’t read every new release, I thought I’d been pretty good at keeping up with new horror releases and what’s out there, but apparently not the most popular ones. So we’ll see how the next batch goes
Part One / Part Two / Part Three / Part Four / Part Five
Blogtober 2023: Day 1 / Day 2 / Day 3 / Day 4 / Day 5 / Day 6 / Day 7 / Day 8 / Day 9 / Day 10 / Day 11 / Day 12

The Hollow Places
by T. Kingfisher

Published: October 6th, 2020
Status: Want to Read
I love Kingfisher’s work, and I have a copy of this, so it’s definitely one I’m keen to read at some point. Really need to try and make it a priority.
The Book of Accidents
by Chuck Wendig

Published: July 20th, 2021
Status: Not Currently Interested
If this had come out just a couple years earlier, I might have been keen to read it. What little I’ve read of Wendig’s work I liked, but for my own reasons I stopped reading him. It might be that I pick this up eventually, but it’s nowhere near the top of my very large list.
The Hunger
by Alma Katsu

Published: March 6th, 2018
Status: Hadn’t Heard Of
I’m not sure if I have heard of this one or not to be honest – it rings a vague bell, but if I have or haven’t I am definitely interested in this one. It sounds really different, and it’s about the Donner Party – sign me up!
Chasing the Boogeyman
by Richard Chizmar

Published: August 17th, 2021
Status: Want to Read
This is one I’ve been eyeing up for a while, and one I very much hope I can eventually get to. I have seen good things about this online, and the summary makes me feel incredibly intrigued, especially with the true crime aspect to it.
Bloodline
by Jess Lourey

Published: January 1st, 2021

How did this one pass me by? It sounds really interesting, definitely grabs my interest from the Goodreads summary, and I really would like to read this one at some point. I’m not often drawn in by “thrillers”, but when I am, it’s usually because they have an interesting premise – let’s hope the execution in this one lives up the hype.
Quite an interesting batch there – none I’ve read, one I do have to read, and a couple that are now on my list. Have you read any of these? What were your thoughts on them?
