Original Volume 8 Review

This is not the first time this series has ripped my heart out. It might, however, be the worst time it has. It is not a short gap between me finishing this and writing this review, but it was still incredibly heart-breaking when I did sit down to write it.

This volume hits hard. Especially after rereading volumes 1 – 8, then diving into this. I get it, this is a dark, bleak world, but this one hurt. A lot. To the point I have spent the whole review so far thinking about how upset this volume made me and wondering what the bloody hell is in store in Volume 10.

It actually went on hiatus after this volume and all I can say for anyone who read 9 when it came out, my heart breaks for you. So much. At least I have 10 here, waiting for me, though I don’t know when I’ll ‘get over’ 9 enough to pick it up, but at least 11 is now out too though when are we getting 12?

Yeah, I’m avoiding writing a full review, because at this point there isn’t much else to say. Except that if you haven’t picked this up yet…normally, I’d say you should, like, now, but honestly? Save yourself the heartbreak.

The art is beautiful. It’s as amazing as always. I just don’t know when I’m going to recover from this.
