It’s been a long time since I dipped into this list, but similarly to Top Ten Tuesday and my Dreaded TBR posts, now I have a little more time I felt like jumping back in. So, in these posts I’m going through Goodreads’ 100 New Horror Recommendations for (Nearly) Every Kind of Reader, seeing what I’ve read and/or heard of, what I may have missed, and what I probably want to read.

Review
This was a 5 star read for me, and I now have a few of Hendrix’s books on my TBR. As the title suggests, this one is about a group of women who have survived – the ‘Final Girls’. It really is an excellent read and if you’re a fan of slashers but haven’t get read this, I’d urge you to.
My Heart Is a Chainsaw
Stephen Graham Jones

This one is on my TBR – I really liked Jones’ The Only Good Indians, and I’ve heard so many great things about My Heart Is a Chainsaw. It sounds really interesting, too, and like The Final Girls Support Group, this one deals with slashers.
Good Girls Don’t Die
Christina Henry

This is another one that’s already on my TBR – I’ve only read the one book from Henry (The Ghost Tree) and enjoyed it enough to rate it 4 stars, but have a few of her books on my TBR. This one sounds quite different and interesting, so hopefully I’ll enjoy it!
Chasing the Bogeyman
Richard Chizmar

This is another one very much on my TBR – it’s metafiction, with the main character Richard Chizmar returning to his hometown during a spate of murders. I haven’t yet read Chizmar’s work, but I have heard good things.
If you’ve read any of these or have further recommendations for similar books, please let me know! I’d love to hear your thoughts.
