100 New Horror Recommendations Part Eleven

More from the 100 New Horror Recommendations for (Nearly) Every Kind of Reader – I do like the way this list is laid out, with different sections depending on what, exactly, you’re looking for. And it’s been really fun to move through and see what’s been on my radar, on my TBR, what I’ve read, and what is now getting added to my TBR because of the list!

Gimme some non-Hannibal cannibals
These flesh-eating fiends will make your skin crawl.

Tender is the Flesh
Agustina Bazterrica, Translated by Sarah Moses

Published: November 29th, 2017
Status: Want to Read

This was already on my Want to Read shelf – I remember hearing about it when it first released, and being absolutely gripped by the premise. And I do really need to read more horror in translation, so fingers crossed I can get a copy of this soon.

A Certain Hunger
Chelsea G. Summers

Published: November 29th, 2017
Status: Want to Read

I vaguely remember hearing about this around the release – it sounds intriguing, definitely, but there’s something really compelling about it, too.

Monstrilio
Gerardo Sámano Córdova

Published: March 7th, 2023
Status: Hadn’t Heard Of

I’m ashamed to say I hadn’t heard of this one, but it sounds fascinating! Definitely one to add to the TBR.

Benny Rose, the Cannibal King
Hailey Piper

Published: January 17th, 2020
Status: Want to Read

So this is out of print, but was reprinted in Teenage Girls Can Be Demons, which I actually have! I like Hailey Piper’s work though I unfortunately haven’t yet read her more full length stuff, and Benny Rose has been on my Want to Read since it came out. Excited for this one.

So, there we have it – four cannibal themed books! And four great sounding books, ones I really hope I get to read eventually. Have any recommendations for non-Hannibal cannibals? Let me know!
