Top Ten Tuesday: Books on My Autumn/Fall 2026 To-Read List

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

It doesn’t feel like that long ago I was putting together my summer TBR! This year feels like it’s going faster and faster. Looking over my ten books for summer though, I did read 8 of them, and DNF’d 2, so I’d call that a success!

Autumn/Fall TBR

Wicked Deeds on a Winter’s Night by Kresley Cole / The Grimoire Grammar School Parent Teacher Association by Caitlin Rozakis / The Convenient Marriage by Georgette Heyer
(Musicals Reading Challenge 2026)

I’m really excited for all three of these! Wicked Deeds is the third book in Immortals After Dark, and considering how much I loved the first two I think I’ll adore this one just as much. I’ve read two Georgette Heyer books previously and loved them, so I think I’ll get along quite well with The Convenient Marriage. And The Grimoire Grammar School Parent Teacher Association sounds like a lot of fun, especially with the blend of modern life and magic.

Maria the Wanted and the Legacy of the Keepers by V. Castro / Sleep Like Death by Kalynn Bayron / Rebel Writers: The Accidental Feminists by Celia Brayfield
(Twenty Genres in 2026)

I have quite a few physical books I want to read soon, so I’m unlikely to get to all of them! I live in hope, though, especially as the two here – Maria and Sleep Like Death – are by authors I love, who excel in their genres. Celia Brayfield is a new-to-me writer, but I’m really enjoying books which cover a variety of figures who may have previously been overlooked.

(Netflix Movies & TV Shows)

Now I’ve completed two challenges and made great progress on the others, I’m looking towards this challenge again in the hopes I can clear at least 2 prompts from it by the end of the year! Not the easiest, especially as, again, the first two here (So You Want to Talk and A Discovery of Witches) are both physical books. I do get through ebooks a lot faster, so chances are I’ll finish Agony’s Lodestone before I get to the other two.

And if I do manage to get through all these, I’ll be switching back to the Musicals Reading Challenge with this “blazing, psychedelic novel about girlhood, violence, and the loss of innocence.” I’m really hoping I do, as this sound incredibly interesting and absolutely one I’m keen to read.
