I did this Book Tag originally back in 2019, and thought I’d revisit it this year as part of my Blogmas posts. The tag was from Jenniely, who provided the inspiration for my 2019 Blogmas posts.
1. Are there any books you started this year you need to finish?

I’m reading a few different books right now, but there’s only one I want to get finished soon – Mistletoe at the Manor, by Teresa F. Morgan. I expect I’ll finish it this weekend, but it’s the only one on my reading stack I have a ‘deadline’ for.
2. Do you have an autumnal book to transition to the end of the year?
Nope! I said in my previous post I don’t get books for specific seasons, but since then I have joined NetGalley, and there are some there that are perfect for certain times of the year. At the moment though, I don’t have anything in particular I want to ease me into the New Year.
3. Is there a new release you’re still waiting for?

Sloth! This book by my dear friend Joanne Askew came out earlier this month, but my paperback won’t arrive until after Christmas! Full disclosure: I edited this prior to Joanne submitting it, so it’s super exciting to see it out in the world, and I know she’s made some changes so I absolutely cannot wait to read it again.
4. What are three books you want to read before the end of the year?
I have a few on my TBR I’d like to read before the year ends, but I’m not going to put pressure on myself to do so. Still, if I can, I’d love to read Theatre of Marvels, maybe All of Us Villains, and Plain Bad Heroines, though I really doubt I could clear them all in just a few weeks!
5. Is there a book that you think could still shock you and become your favourite?
No, partly because I don’t think I’ll have as much time as I’d like to read before the end of the year, but also I’m very rarely taken by how much I love a book. I usually know from the first couple of pages if this is one that’s going to find a place in my favourites/
6. Have you already made reading plans for 2022?
Vaguely! I kind of have a system now for switching between arcs and books I’ve purchased, but the first part of the year will be dedicated to working through some of my NetGalley books for the various events we have coming up on Divination Hollow. And I have a lot of really interesting looking books on my TBR that I’m excited to get to. Plus I’ll be working through some research books for various projects.
