Yep, time for another instalment! I assume most people are aware, but it is worth noting this is most usually Down the TBR Hole, but when I originally started doing it I…renamed it for my own little blog. Can’t even say why, but it kind of stuck for being my own version!

Instinct was to keep this one, because I’d read Book 1 (Flu) and liked it, but honestly, I can barely remember anything about it, and to be honest with the basic premise, after the last few years I have very little interest in continuing with it. Not because I think it would be bad or anything, it’s just not something that intrigues me anymore.

A Discovery of Witches
Deborah Harkness

This was actually a really easy choice – the book has been sat on my shelf for a good long while, and after watching the TV series I really want to dig into this. Though it is a very big book so will probably take me a fair while to work through, I still want to try.
Status: Keep
Abaddon Rising
Scott Stanford

This book is on my shelf because I picked up a copy at a horror convention many years ago – I never got round to reading it, partly because I then found out it was a sequel to another book, so my intention was to pick that up at some point and try it. I don’t know if I still have this book or if it’s gone at some point, but it’s not high on my list to read.
Status: Gone
Dorothy: The Darker Side of Oz
Scott Stanford

I can’t remember now why I never ended up picking this one up, too, but as above really – it’s got to the point where my interest in this really has waned, and I’m not likely to pick either of these up in the future.
Status: Gone
House of Darkness House of Light
Andrea Perron

This might possibly be on here because it’s the book The Conjuring is based on, or I was going through a paranormal phase? I’ve read a few ‘true life’ accounts of hauntings and such, and found they can either be fascinating or incredibly bad. This looks like it might fall into the “bad” camp, especially with the high number of one and two star reviews. Shame, but I think I’ll be giving this one a miss.
Status: Gone
Another four books taken off the list! Making good progress here, and it’s nice to see the numbers on my Want to Read go down, though very slowly. Have you read any of these? Agree or disagree with the choices?
