100 New Horror Recommendations Part Thirteen

We are looking through more of the Goodreads 100 New Horror Recommendations for (Nearly) Every Kind of Reader list today, and I think we’re currently over halfway through! I’ve had a lot of fun going through this list and checking which I’ve read, knew of but not yet read, and finding gems completely new to me that hopefully I’ll get to read in the future.

Part 1 / Part 2 / Part 3 / Part 4 / Part 5 / Part 6 / Part 7 / Part 8 / Part 9 / Part 10 / Part 11 / Part 12

Hollywood’s full of monsters.

Somehow this one passed me by, but it sounds really interesting! I quite like tale of friends reunited after a gap, and this one has an interesting backstory with a TV show shut down due to a tragic accident, with five surviving cast members who reunite. I definitely want to read this.

Silver Nitrate

I thought I had this on my TBR but apparently not. I really liked Mexican Gothic, and think I’d give anything by this author a chance. This one sounds especially interesting, especially with the focus on the ’90s Mexico City film industry, involving a cult horror director and a cursed film.

Burn the Negative

I’m sensing a trend here…I haven’t come across this one either, but the blurb absolutely has me gripped! I think I’m just intrigued by cursed film/TV tales. So I definitely want to check this one out!

The Devil’s Playground

I don’t know how I missed this but I absolutely love the sound of it! Golden Age of Hollywood, a secret cursed film (cursed films again!)…yeah, I definitely want to check this out.

Have you read any of these? Or maybe you have some cursed film/TV books you’d like to recommend – if so, please shoot them my way! I love stories that deal with these, and clearly I’m missing out on a lot.
