Ooooh, a cult? Sign me right up!
Look, some of us are just joiners, OK?

Our Share of Night
Mariana Enriquez

Rating: 4/5
Review

There’s a lot more to this book than the cult aspect, and a lot of it is wrapped around some truly bleak moments in history (such as Argentina’s military dictatorship). The kind of book that is definitely a commitment, but well worth it.

Camp Damascus
Chuck Tingle

Rating: 5/5
Review

If you haven’t read this yet, you really should. Tingle should be regarded as one of horror’s top current writers, and I’m always excited to read one of his books. This was my first, and it’s an overall favourite in the genre, tackling religion and gay conversation camps through the eyes of queer autistic teen, Rose.

Boys Weekend
Mattie Lubchansky

Published: 6th June, 2023
Status: Hadn’t Heard Of

This is a totally new one for me, but sounds really intriguing! Especially with its examination of masculinity and the focus on a trans woman who goes along to an old friend’s bachelor party. This is getting added to the TBR!

Black Sheep
Rachel Harrison

Published: 19th September, 2023
Status: Want to Read

I have a few of Harrison’s books on my TBR, including this one. I definitely want to try and get to them – I’ve heard quite mixed reviews across her various books, but I really want to make up my own mind!

Have you read any of these? Or maybe you have recommendations for other cult themed horror. If so, let me know in the comments.
