I really had fun looking at the different Christmas films last year, and did a Festive Films list, which actually really helped me, as I am terrible at deciding what to watch in the moment so it’s useful to have a list of what I’ve seen and think yes, that looks fun! There’s only one film outstanding from my list last year…
The Knight Before Christmas

So it goes straight to the top of my list for this year! I really do need to find a night to settle down and watch this. Honestly, after last year I think I’m more excited to dig into Christmas films this year, too. And there’s some fun looking new ones coming out…
The Princess Switch 3: Romancing the Star

Princess Switch / Princess Switch 2
Last year I managed to watch both Princess Switch films, and I am really hoping I get a chance for the third this year. I actually enjoyed them both a lot more than I thought I would, and I’m excited to dive back into this world.
The Noel Diary

Okay, so I did actually start watching this, then got distracted, and at the time of writing have only a bit left, which I’m hoping to watch this week. It’s decent enough, but a bit slow and more drama than comedy, and I definitely prefer my romances with some chuckles.
Christmas With You

I’m definitely more excited to see Aimee Garcia and Freddie Prinze Jr. in this than anything about the actual film. After seeing her in Lucifer, it’s great to see Garcia get the lead in a romantic film. This one also looks incredibly sweet, and feels like kind of has some ‘Marry Me’ vibes.
Falling for Christmas

This feels like it might be this year’s A Castle for Christmas. It definitely seems to have a similar buzz around it, and it looks like it could possibly be silly and fun! Hopefully along with the others on the list I get a chance to watch this before Christmas.
So there we have it – 5 films I’m hoping to watch this Christmas season! Of course, I’ll also make time for the classics, like The Muppet Christmas Carol, and there’s other films that look really fun I want to see too, so we’ll see how it goes. What about you? What’s on top of your Christmas watch list for this year?
