Welcome back to my attempt to reduce my Goodreads Want to Shelf by…well, as much as possible! So far I’m doing a fairly good job of getting rid of books from this shelf, but it’s a long, slow going process as I have way, way too many books currently listed on there. The books I’m looking at today were added in December 2013, when apparently I was in the mood for fantasy.

I’ll forgive this YA Fantasy for the title convention as it came out…shortly before? At the start of? – the trend of everything being named similar. It does sound interesting and still relatively different from a lot of other YA Fantasy, even if just from the blurb I can see how it fits into the genre as a whole. But yes, absolutely still intrigued by this one.

Hmm…I wonder how this one came to my attention, as it feels very different from the other stuff I was considering reading at the time, or even reading back then! It sounds interesting to a point, but also largely quite sad…there’s nothing here that really grabs me and makes me feel keen to read.

I’m a little torn on this one – on the one hand, maybe not quite for me right now, though nothing to say that won’t change in the future. On the other, well, it’s an author who I do want to read. Yet I have quite a few of her books on my want to read. I think I’ll remove this one, safe in the knowledge that I’ll find my way to it eventually if it’s meant to be.

This one still grabs my interest – a childless couple build a child out of snow, but the child prefers to live in the woods and hunt with the animals. Absolutely sounds intriguing, and maybe the kind of book I’d appreciate more now I’m older. Thanks, Past Me!
