Blogmas Day 13: My Favourite Books of the Year – Part One

I always find it really hard to do best or top books lists, how do you pick out of 100 books which ones you loved the most? So, for 2023, I thought I’d highlight my favourite books by month – that is, which book each month I enjoyed the most. I really have read some amazing books this year, so this is going to be hard enough as it is, but narrowing it down by month does help somewhat. So here is Jan – June, my first 6 favourite books of the year. Also worth noting – this isn’t based on publication dates, just the dates I read them!

Favourite Books

JanuarySmall Town Girl by Donna McLean – Review

February – Welsh Gothic by Jane Aaron – Review

March If Only You by Chloe Liese – Review

April A House With Good Bones by T. Kingfisher – Review

May The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches by Sangu Mandanna – Review

June Revenge Arc by Cat Voleur – Review

Some months were harder than others to pick out my favourite books, and special mentions go to The Davenports, Take a Hint, Dani Brown, Stars Collide and Camp Damascus for other excellent reads for 2023. The second part of this post will be up more towards the end of the year, though there’s always the chance I pick one for December and still end up reading something else I would have picked before we get into 2024!
