Oh, this was fun. How fun, you might ask? So fun that as soon as I finished reading, I immediately pre-ordered the next Love in Swans Cove book, which this novella leads into, and I am very excited to get my hands on it. This novella spends its whole 93 pages absolutely teasing the audience and the main characters. And there’s a lot in these pages! We get such a great glimpse of these two and a chance to really see the sparks fly. Landon is just the right amount of broody, and I loved the way things were set up between him and Julie – Landon is, by the way, Julie’s brother’s best friend, and we get an idea of the relationship each has to Julie’s brother, as well, where he largely sees Julie still as a kid, and couldn’t possibly imagine any reason why his friend would feel anything but annoyance at the idea of keeping an eye out for her.
This novella is such a sweet, quick read, perfect for this time of the year, and I definitely recommend picking it up if you like cute Christmas romances, which is something Nowodazkij excels at. And in addition to that, we get another Swans Cove book this year! Take me back there now! I can’t wait to return to Julie and Landon and see where the rest of their story goes.
