I’m taking another look at the list Goodreads published last year, taking a look at the books that have passed me by, ones I’ve read, and so on. I think I’ll definitely try and continue this throughout the next year, as it does have some really interesting books on it I hadn’t even heard of before going through it!

Goodreads Most Popular Horror
Dracul
by Dacre Stoker, J.D. Barker

Published: October 2nd, 2018
Status: Want to Read
Anything Dracula related and I’m pretty much sold – I haven’t had the chance to read Dacre Stoker yet, but I’ve been interested in the work he’s doing for a while.
We Sold Our Souls
by Grady Hendrix

Published: September 18th, 2018
Status: Hadn’t Heard Of
I’m not familiar with this one at all, which is odd considering it’s Hendrix, but at this point I’d definitely read anything by Grady Hendrix, and I can’t emphasise enough how much I love horror about music.
Ghost Wall
by Sarah Moss

Published: September 20th, 2018
Status: Hadn’t Heard Of
Oh this sounds intriguing, and though I hadn’t heard of it before it’s definitely on my radar now. A really interesting premise and one I’m totally drawn to.
What Moves the Dead
by T. Kingfisher

Published: July 12th, 2022
Status: Want to Read
Any book by T. Kingfisher is worth reading, in my very humble opinion. Just one of those writers who I pretty much always enjoy.
Kill Creek
by Scott Thomas

Published: October 31st, 2017
Status: Not Currently Interested
This isn’t one I’d say no to if I got a copy, but it’s not one I’d go out of my way for. The premise sounds kind of interesting, but there’s something I can’t put my finger on stopping me feeling excited about this one. Maybe one day.
As always, if you have read any of these I’d love to hear your thoughts on the books.
